CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
Important information regarding proposal submissions:
When developing educational sessions for the IAFE Convention, our primary goal is to address the current and emerging fair management challenges and successes.
We are looking to incorporate a variety of formats to include single presenters, panel discussions, immersive workshops, rapid fire presentations and other interactive sessions.
Presentations: These sessions are typically 45 minutes in length and feature thought leadership. Presenters should come prepared with original content and offer tactical advice to attendees.
Panel Discussions: These sessions are typically 45 minutes in length and feature an experienced moderator, leading a discussion with a panel of experts. Preference is given to proposals with moderators and experts (from different size and regions) who come prepared with short presentations to enhance the learning.
Power Talk Presentations:These fast-paced, 15-minute sessions are an open platform format covering topics or demonstrations with key, tangible takeaways.
Interactive Audience Sessions: Highly interactive sessions, typically 45 minutes in length, featuring Q&A and other approaches that help crowdsource audience insights, enable attendees to share their opinions and drive engagement with speakers.
Critical Conversations: These sessions are typically 45 minutes in length and feature a moderator and panelist in a talk show. Question and discussion type format. No formal presentations or audio-visual equipment.
Speaker expectations and honoraria:
IAFE uses educational sessions as a platform to showcase innovation and education, we look for presenters who are willing to share their expertise without the expectation of payment.
Other speaker requirements:
To work closely with IAFE staff and meet all deadlines.
To make no substantial changes to content, format, audio/visual needs, room set-up, identity or number of presenters without prior approval from IAFE.
To recognize that a session is an opportunity to share information and is not a showcase for promotion of business, practice, service or product.
To give IAFE permission to possibly audio and/or video record their session and to sync their onsite slide presentation with the recording for the purpose of selling, or otherwise using the recording at a later time in any IAFE products, in any media.
Agree that IAFE shall be the exclusive owner of recording, but that they will otherwise retain ownership of their onsite slide presentation. On the speaker's request, IAFE will provide a downloadable copy of the recording.
Presentation selection is based on the following criteria and will be given priority consideration:
Clarity of organization and presentation
Estimated audience appeal
Innovations for the field
Degree to which it addresses a special need and overall balance of topics
Creativity in interaction with participants
Feasibility of presentation
