Fairs United – What a great theme as we all come together to strengthen each individual fair and our industry. We will also be united in Indianapolis in the middle of the US for the first time in more than 50 years. The central location will allow for many of our fair friends from the Midwest to attend the IAFE Convention for the first time.
Indianapolis is a convention, agricultural and sports town. The downtown area was designed with conventions in mind. There are a variety of hotel options with a variety of price points. All are connected via skywalks to the Convention Center. The downtown area features many restaurants including some icons like St. Elmo’s Steakhouse.
Being located in the heartland, Indianapolis has many agricultural resources we plan to tap into. The corporations, farms, and agritainment venues in Indiana are all being explored. Indianapolis is also headquarters to the National FFA Organization.
Fitting right into our United theme, Sports and Indianapolis are synonymous. The Indiana Pacers and Colts both play within walking distance of the Convention Center. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is an iconic institution in Indianapolis. Part of the convention program will include each of these facilities.
