After uniting in 2022, 2023 will be the year that Fairs RISE. The theme selected by the planning committee is very fitting for our 2023 IAFE Convention location of Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by the Wasatch and the Oquirrh mountains and the location of the 2002 and a candidate for a future Winter Olympics.
RISE has a special meaning through its letters.
R stands for Reunite. Our fairs reunite friends, competitors, and our communities.
I stands for Inspire. Throughout the year we will be highlighting not only inspirational stories but asking you to share what inspires you to do the job you do at your fair**.
S stands for support. We will ask the total dollar amount of scholarship money provided by your fair in support of your community.
E stands for Educate. Our fairs our bound together around the important job of educating the public about agriculture. Not only will we be measuring how many young people are impacted by your education, but we will also share the many ways that fairs accomplish this goal.
The convention will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center with housing options at five hotels surrounding the convention center. The Salt Lake City Creek Marriott and the new Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will be the host hotels. The new Salt Lake City International airport is a Delta hub that is rated as the most “on-time” airport in North America.
As the program committee continues their work to plan the 2023 IAFE Convention, if you have
