New & Old (and We are Not Just Talking About Friends)

The IAFE Convention is a time to make new friends and also renew old acquaintances. It is also a time to learn and grow. Have you checked out what is familiar about the 2021 IAFE Convention but also checked out what is new?

If you attended in the past you will remember:

  1. More workshops than you can attend on your own. Each time we offer workshops there is sure to be something for you.

  2. Six Institute of Fair Management Courses.

  3. Each Zone meets during the convention to network and discuss Zone business. Is your Zone due to elect a new director?

  4. Power Talks and Champions Circle are 15-minute quick sessions presenting one idea or one award winning topic.

  5. The largest trade show in the fair industry featuring anything your fair needs to be successful. The trade show will again feature showcases each day.

  6. Individual recognition of contributions to the industry, including the Hall of Fame, Heritage, Rising Star, and Executive of the Year awards.

  7. We will also recognize those that are graduating from the Institute of Fair Management.

  8. The IAFE Education Foundation fundraiser “Wagons & Whiskey” will continue to raise money for education and the improvement of agricultural fairs. (Raisin for a Reason Event)

  9. Young Peoples Initiative (YPI) is presenting a workshop, 2 networking events and a fun night out.

  10. We also leave time for networking and fun with our fair family.

With all of that we still managed to grow a few new events you will not want to miss:

  1. Good Morning IAFE will be our Monday morning kick off event.

  2. Networking Circles, a chance to build a network of friends that have similar job duties as you. Identify your circle when you register.

  3. Lunch Tickets and Discussions – the tickets will allow you to pick up a meal and quickly join a targeted discussion in one of four areas each day of the convention. Purchase when you register.

  4. Fair of the Future is sort of new. We held discussions in 2017 about what we thought the fair of the future looked like, but we are pretty sure our crystal ball was cloudy. Join the discussion as we revisit the vision we have of the future. Register to participate.

  5. Verified Buyers Breakfast, a chance to have 1 on 1 appointments with Trade Show exhibitors and get part of your registration back.

  6. Riverwalk Events & Beautification walking tour. Want to know how they do that? Select the session when you register.

  7. Closing event toasting those who have earned recognition this year, including CFE, CVFM and IFM graduates. Do not leave early.
